The Gobelo Farm Tour is an optional activity for registered Summit delegates. It departs from the Front Desk at Gwango Heritage Resort at 3pm, concluding at 6pm. This guided visit introduces participants to a working demonstration farm that has evolved from an anti-poaching initiative into a model for sustainable, market-oriented agriculture. Set on five acres at the edge of Hwange National Park, Gobelo integrates crop cultivation, livestock systems, research, and product development to demonstrate how rural enterprises can co-exist with tourism and move beyond subsistence toward value addition and commercial viability. The tour offers insight into regenerative practices, indigenous botanicals, integrated farming systems, and the development of food, wellness, and agricultural products designed for local and regional markets.
