Jit Bhattacharya is the co-Founder and CEO of BasiGo, a company headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya working to electrify Africa's public transport system.Jit has been a leader in electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery technology for the past 18 years. Jit served as CEO of Mission Motors, a Silicon Valley company specializing in high-performance EV technology. He later served as a senior manager in the Special Projects Group at Apple. After moving to East Africa in 2017, Jit served as Chief Technology Officer for Fenix International, one of the Africa's leading Pay-As-You-Go solar home system companies. Prior to launching BasiGo, Mr. Bhattacharya served as a Principal with Factor[e] Ventures, one of the first venture capital funds to invest in e-mobility in Africa. Mr. Bhattacharya holds a Masters in Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

During the confab, an inspirational speaker or thought leader provides remarks for 10-minutes focusing on their professional journey, particularly as it relates to entrepreneurism in Africa. This is followed by randomly assigned small group virtual breakout sessions where attendees connect with others, discuss bootstrap briefs and gain recognition for their business, project or idea.
