How to inspire your employees

Section 1 : Show genuine appreciation

25%

Never underestimate the power of genuine appreciation. One of the most effective ways to inspire employees is by acknowledging their efforts and contributions. Recognising hard work and achievements, whether big or small, can significantly boost morale and motivation. Acts such as highlighting a team member’s innovative solution or publicly thanking them during a meeting can make them feel valued and drive them to contribute even more. However, be mindful not to embarrass or create uncomfortable situations for those who prefer not to be in the spotlight. Get to know your team to understand how they prefer to be shown appreciation, as preferences can vary widely.

Conversely, failing to acknowledge employees' efforts can lead to feelings of underappreciation and disengagement. While employees are paid for their work and don't technically need to be thanked, expressing gratitude helps them feel valued and respected. It shows that you see them as more than just workers, creating a positive work environment where employees are motivated to give their best.
