AI-Powered Food Safety Revolution in Africa

EcoSure Diagnostics is Ghana's homegrown response to the climate crisis threatening Africa's food systems. We're developing AI-powered rapid diagnostics that detect invisible food contamination in under 15 minutes at 90% less cost than traditional testing.

The Crisis: Climate change is making African food increasingly dangerous. Rising temperatures amplify heavy metal contamination, while extreme weather spreads mining chemicals into farmlands. In Ghana alone, 1 in 3 leafy greens are unsafe in mining zones, children have aflatoxin levels 10x above safe limits, and the country loses ₵2.3B annually from contaminated exports.

Our Solution: The BioTrace™ MultiScan Kit detects 6 critical contaminants (mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic, glyphosate, aflatoxins) using lateral flow technology paired with an AI-powered mobile app analysis. Our SafeFood™ app provides 99.2% accurate results, works offline, and creates community-scale intelligence networks for contamination prediction and prevention.

Impact & Job Creation: By 2027, we're targeting 100,000 farmers across 5 African countries, conducting 1M+ tests annually, and saving ₵45M in export value. Our model creates jobs at multiple levels: local distributors, community health workers, agricultural extension agents, and certified testing operators. Each testing hub supports 10-15 direct jobs while enabling hundreds of farmers to access premium markets.

Traction: We've secured partnerships with UK biotechs Abingdon Health and GADx, achieved 99.2% AI accuracy in field trials, engaged 500+ farmers for validation, and are pursuing Irish partnerships for international grants. Our founding team combines deep technical expertise with lived experience of Ghana's food safety challenges.

Vision: To democratize climate-resilient food safety across Africa, ensuring every farmer, mother, and market trader has the power to protect their community from invisible contamination—quickly, affordably, and without needing a chemistry degree.
