Fever Diary

Fever Diary aims to address the fear and anxiety among parents in Cameroon regarding their children's fever and the associated risks of febrile convulsions, brain damage, and pain, especially in settings where access to medical advice is limited. Research shows that not all fevers require a hospital visit or medication. A brief conversation with a doctor can alleviate parents' anxiety, guide them on managing the fever at home, and advise when a hospital visit is necessary, thus saving money.

Fever is a common concern among parents that often leads to unnecessary and costly hospital visits. WHO reports that the average hospital visit in Cameroon costs 26000frs ($43). By offering affordable remote consultations at 2000frs ($3.26), we provide parents with expert guidance, reduce anxiety, and prevent excessive medical expenses. Research indicates that 9 out of 10 fever cases don't require a hospital visit.
