Digital Leap: Empowering Women and Youth with Future-Ready S

Digital Leap is a flagship project by Flourish Her Africa aimed at equipping 1,000 women and young people in underserved communities across Nigeria with market-relevant digital skills over a 12-month period. The project seeks to bridge the digital divide by providing practical training in graphic design, video editing, digital marketing, and basic computer literacy, with a strong emphasis on economic empowerment, job creation, and gender equality.

Through a combination of in-person workshops, virtual classes, mentorship, and internship placements, the project will not only build technical capacity but also foster confidence, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindsets among beneficiaries. We have a digital hub in Abuja, this hub will serve as a community learning center for continuous digital learning.

The project aligns with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and is designed to reduce the marginalization of women and youth in the tech ecosystem, especially in rural and peri-urban settings.

Project Objectives:

To train 1,000 women and young people in digital skills by the end of 12 months.

To support 200 beneficiaries in launching freelance careers or digital-based businesses.

To increase access to digital resources through the establishment of a fully equipped Digital Learning Hub.

To foster economic independence and reduce vulnerability to gender-based violence through digital empowerment.
