Integrated Water and Energy Technologies, a Social Enterprise works with marginalized smallholder farmers in Malawi by helping them grow crops 3 times a year by offering them solar-powered pumps at a flexible payment plan. Through our partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and GIZ, we are working with smallholder farmers in Karonga and Kasungu respectively. These smallholder farmers are in groups and cooperatives (formal and informal) and are allowed to get and start using the pumps and be able to benefit from the pumps whilst they pay back over a period of 6 months.
