Omusawowo Caregivers is a social enterprise born out of a personal story and a shared struggle in Uganda, families in need of trusted caregivers and caregivers in need of dignified work. Our platform is designed to connect these two groups, bringing relief and hope to both.
We address two urgent social problems. First, many families, especially in rural and underserved areas, cannot find reliable caregivers for their loved ones, whether it is an elderly parent, a newborn, or a child. This often leaves family members overstretched, stressed, and sometimes unable to work or study. Second, many caregivers particularly women from vulnerable backgrounds struggle to find stable, fairly compensated jobs despite having the skills and compassion to provide care.
Through our digital platform, families can easily find vetted caregivers, browse their profiles, read verified reviews, and book them with confidence. This gives families peace of mind while ensuring that their loved ones receive quality care. At the same time, caregivers gain access to job opportunities that value their skills and pay them fairly.
We go beyond just linking people, we also train caregivers, helping them grow their skills and confidence. Our services now include lab testing delivered at home, which makes basic healthcare more accessible. By blending technology with community engagement, we are building a trusted caregiving network.
Omusawowo Caregivers is about dignity, trust, and empowerment. We make families feel supported, caregivers feel valued, and communities feel stronger. Our dream is to see caregiving in Uganda shift from being a silent struggle to a supported, respected service that uplifts everyone involved.
