Mossurize‑Agro‑Huku is an emerging micro-enterprise based in the Province of Manica, Mozambique, specifically in the District of Mossurize, just 18 km from the town of Espungabera and 3 km from the Jersey Tanganda Tea Estate in Zimbabwe.

Brief Description of Business
Mossurize-Agro-Huku has the capacity to raise over 2,000 varieties of poultry extensively on a total area of 5 hectares and occupies only 1.5 hectares in its pilot phase after winning a national business competition and financial grant of over $20,000. The focus is to promote good health by combating hunger and malnutrition in the SADC region, improve productivity in agriculture, and promote circular economy practices through the use of modern technology.
Problem Statement: The increased demand for our products in almost all districts of Mossurize, Machaze, Sussundenga and Chipinge in Zimbabwe leaves us sleepless. The lack of better conditions for us to intensify distribution worries us. We have potential customers such as the Mossurize District Hospital, Teresa Amuli Nhalingue and Joaquim Chissano Internment Centers, Machaze Supermarket where we are unable to offer our organics chickens due to the lack of transport with air conditioning and also due to the lack of freezers and cold rooms. Since our purpose is to offer high quality products and adding value to organic chickens.

Solution: We intend to increase our production and productivity by increasing our sales volume from 1000 chickens to 2000 per month starting in May and intensifying production with the aim of selling 6000 chickens in December 2025.

● Short-term goals: Finalize our pilot phase by supplying our last 1900 chickens and finalize the final guarantees with our potential clients Mossurize District Health Director, Mossurize District Police Commander, Dzonzai Restaurant in Chipinge Zimbabwe.
● Medium-term goals: By May of this year, we will reach 100 to 500 and build loyalty among at least 500 customers who sign a contract for at least two years and have investors or cooperation partners interested in investing in our cause.
● Long-term goals: Scale up the product to serve SADC countries, expand into additional global markets and establish organic chicken as a leader in the Mozambican food industry.
