I am a passionate agripreneur, social entrepreneur, and sustainable farmer with extensive experience in agribusiness development, youth empowerment, and community transformation. My journey began in smallholder farming and has evolved into building ventures that drive agricultural productivity and resilience among last-mile farmers.
As the Founder and Team Leader of Yafika Agri Venture, I lead efforts to provide smallholder farmers with access to affordable farm inputs, modern training, and reliable markets through innovative models such as input credit and hub-and-spoke distribution. My work has been recognized internationally, including being awarded the D-Prize grant for scalable agricultural solutions.
Beyond Yafika, I have hands-on expertise in poultry farming, egg incubator manufacturing, and irrigation-based horticulture, where I pioneered women-inclusive value chains through village banking. I also serve as a consultant and mentor to farmer cooperatives, youth groups, and community-based agribusinesses.
I am motivated by a strong belief in agriculture as a tool for prosperity, food security, and rural development. My goal is to continue building impactful, sustainable, and resilient ventures that empower farmers, especially women and youth, while contributing to Malawi’s broader agricultural transformation.
