Building a marketing funnel

Section 1 : Understanding the marketing funnel

20%

The marketing funnel represents the journey that potential customers take from the moment they become aware of your brand to the point where they make a purchase and beyond. At the top of the funnel, awareness is created through various channels such as social media content, marketing and advertising. As customers move down the funnel, they progress through stages of interest, consideration and ultimately conversion.

For example, let's consider a startup selling eco-friendly household products like a cooking stove that uses kitchen waste as fuel. At the awareness stage, the business might create engaging social media content showcasing the benefits of their products for both the environment and consumers. As potential customers become interested, the business could offer informative blog posts or videos explaining how their products work and why they're superior to traditional alternatives. Finally, to encourage conversion, they might provide a limited-time discount code or offer a free sample with purchase.
