Eco Heroes Nigeria Limited is a social enterprise redefining waste management in Nigeria through innovation, inclusion, and impact. We are tackling the growing crisis of plastic pollution by transforming waste into a tool for poverty reduction and sustainable development.

Our enterprise operates at the intersection of technology and community action. We have developed a hybrid recycling model that combines digital tools (mobile app, WhatsApp bot, and SMS platform) with community-based collection hubs. This model allows individuals, especially women, youth, and informal waste workers, to exchange recyclable materials for value-based incentives such as cash, school fee support, and food items.

We work directly with low-income communities to promote waste segregation, environmental education, and grassroots participation in the circular economy. Once collected, the plastic waste is processed into flakes and pellets, which we supply to manufacturers as raw materials for new products, closing the loop and reducing the burden on our environment.

Our approach is not just about recycling, it's about building green livelihoods, promoting environmental justice, and giving waste a new purpose. We are proud to have recovered over 500 tons of plastic waste, impacted 7,000+ households, and created direct and indirect jobs that uplift vulnerable populations.

Eco Heroes is building a replicable, scalable model for waste recovery that addresses climate change, unemployment, and social exclusion—one plastic bottle at a time.
