Our speaker: Barbara Kamba-Nyathi, popularly known as Barbs The Emotional Alchemist, is the co-founder and CEO of Bold Dialogue, an emotional and mental healer, inspirational speaker and coach. Her company is an intuitive wellness platform that facilitates healing and ignites hope through various offerings ranging from eclectic therapy, lifestyle & wellness coaching, master-class & workshop facilitation, curation of wellness retreats and custom designed programs. She trained in Art and Play at Apple Tree Foundation and in Gestalt at the Gestalt institution of South Africa Barbara is multi award winning entrepreneur who has had recognition and further training from prestigious platforms like the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, World Women Conference & Awards Africa .UNITAR and the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Zimbabwe Open University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Psychology from the University of Roehampton, London.

Confabs are free events open to the entire ELISA portal community, which includes high potential entrepreneurs and founders with bold ideas for solving the greatest challenges we face in Africa. Attendees also include industry executives, investors, venture capitalists, philanthropists, researchers, educators, government regulators, policy makers, founders and entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.

During the confab, an inspirational speaker or thought leader provides remarks for 10-minutes focusing on their professional journey, particularly as it relates to entrepreneurism in Africa. This is followed by randomly assigned small group virtual breakout sessions where attendees connect with others, discuss bootstrap briefs and gain recognition for their business, project or idea.


The mission of ELISA is to create jobs and support entrepreneurship in Africa. ELISA members and sponsors discover new opportunities for innovation, connect with others who share the mission, and grow professionally.
