Our Speaker Joseph Simukoko is a seasoned business coach and the startup co-founder of an Agritech enterprise, Green Giraffe Zambia. With a Master's in Disaster Management from Free State University in South Africa, he’s adept at developing strategies and frameworks that help businesses remain resilient and adaptable, even in unpredictable and challenging conditions. Complementing his academic background are a Bachelor’s in Agricultural Science from the University of Zambia and a Certificate in Technology Digital Transformation from Cornell University, USA. This unique blend of expertise in agriculture, disaster management, and digital transformation enables him to offer a comprehensive perspective on risk management, resilience, and growth. Joseph's coaching approach is rooted in practical, actionable insights, with a deep commitment to sustainability and technology integration. Confabs are free events open to the entire ELISA portal community, which includes high potential entrepreneurs and founders with bold ideas for solving the greatest challenges we face in Africa. Attendees also include industry executives, investors, venture capitalists, philanthropists, researchers, educators, government regulators, policy makers, founders and entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.

During the confab, an inspirational speaker or thought leader provides remarks for 10-minutes focusing on their professional journey, particularly as it relates to entrepreneurism in Africa. This is followed by randomly assigned small group virtual breakout sessions where attendees connect with others, discuss bootstrap briefs and gain recognition for their business, project or idea.
