Jobs will combat African poverty

The growth of Africa’s working-age population is staggering by global standards. It’s estimated that the continent’s job market adds 1.7 million people every month. This represents a vast, untapped potential for economic growth. If Africa is to realize the full benefits of globalization, this large labor force must be better utilized. And to do this, sweeping systemic changes are needed to promote Africa’s private sector.

Summary

The continent has all the workers it requires. Now Africa needs quality jobs to help the people of Africa build a better future for themselves, their communities, and Africa as a whole.  Policies that help African entrepreneurs build exciting new ventures will bring invigorating opportunities for African workers. Simultaneously, the African workforce needs to be supported so it has the skills required for innovative new enterprises.
