Embedding innovation into your organisation's core values ensures it is a constant priority. This involves incorporating innovation into your mission statement, performance metrics and recognition programmes.

For example, include innovation goals in performance reviews and set aside budget for innovation initiatives. Recognise and reward employees who contribute innovative ideas and solutions, reinforcing the importance of creativity and continuous improvement.

Neglecting to prioritise innovation will lead to stagnation and a competitive disadvantage. Therefore integrating innovation into your core values signals its importance to the rest of the organisation and creates a sustained focus on creative growth.
