Do you know that almost 24.7% of youth mainly in Rwanda with skills remain idle, not that they are not willing to make them useful but doors are locked.
At Compassion R5 we bring a key-solution breaking the gap impeding youth to nail their livelihoods.
Compassion R5 is a growing social enterprise based in Rwanda, established with the ambition of combining sustainable business growth with meaningful social impact.
Our current operations focus on bakery production, providing quality bread, pastries, and other baked products while building a strong business foundation through customer satisfaction, improved production, and market growth.
Beyond our commercial activities, Compassion R5 is driven by a broader vision of addressing youth unemployment and the gap between vocational training and meaningful economic opportunities. We recognize that many young people complete vocational education but continue to face barriers to employment, self-employment, and financial independence. These challenges are particularly significant for women, refugees, and young people from underrepresented communities.
Our long-term ambition is to transform Compassion R5 into a broader enterprise that connects practical skills development with employment creation and entrepreneurship. Through partnerships with vocational training institutions, educational organizations, and community-based initiatives, we aspire to provide young people with practical workplace experience, employment opportunities, and mentorship to help them build sustainable livelihoods.
We believe that vocational education should lead to more than certificates; it should create pathways to economic independence. Our approach is to build a commercially sustainable enterprise that can progressively create employment, nurture entrepreneurial potential, and support young people in translating their skills into viable economic opportunities.
At Compassion R5, we envision a future where business growth becomes a means of creating opportunities for others, strengthening communities, and improving livelihoods.
