Musonda Kapasa for Poor Foundation was founded by Rodgers Kapasa, a holder of a PhD in Theology, a Diploma in Environmental Health Technology, a Certificate in Investment Rules, Sustainable Development and the Law from the University of Cambridge, a Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship, and other professional certificates and trainings.
The foundation was established with the aim of reducing poverty, improving community wellbeing, empowering vulnerable and disadvantaged people, and creating sustainable opportunities for individuals and communities to build better lives.
Musonda Kapasa for Poor Foundation seeks to address challenges affecting vulnerable communities through initiatives focused on poverty reduction, environmental health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), climate action, education, youth empowerment, child protection, human rights, community development, entrepreneurship, skills development, and sustainable livelihoods.
The foundation is committed to working with communities, young people, women, children, local leaders, government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and other stakeholders to develop practical and sustainable solutions to local challenges.
Our vision is to contribute to a Zambia where every person, regardless of their social or economic circumstances, has an opportunity to live with dignity, access essential services, develop their potential, and participate meaningfully in community development.
Through partnerships, advocacy, community projects, capacity building, and innovative development initiatives, the foundation aims to transform vulnerable communities into empowered, resilient, healthy, and economically sustainable communities.
