Have you ever known a leader who didn’t take responsibility for his or her actions? This is not only dishonest, it can affect the morale of everyone around them and will potentially erode any trust anyone has in the leader. and in turn - the leader is likely to lose all respect.
If you have personal integrity are not only willing to take responsibility for your actions – you are honest about mistakes you make and you look for ways to fix them. And if you are unable to fix the problem, accept your mistakes and consider ways to prevent the mishap from occurring again in the future. Leaders who own their mistakes also build more trust and respect from others, because they are willing to be vulnerable.
