Yes, data is expensive, devices vary, not every customer will have access, but that doesn’t mean no one will. Even if only a portion of your audience can use an AR feature, that portion can become your early advocates. Start small. Test it in one location. Use popular messaging apps to share links. Focus on where people already are, instead of waiting for them to come to you on some perfect future platform.

Some entrepreneurs are using social media filters to bring AR into their promotions. Others are embedding AR demos in low-data environments. There is no one path. The real question is: how can we make our message more alive without spending beyond our means?
