Pitch decks

Section 4 : If the story isn’t clear…

80%

A good pitch deck doesn’t feel like a collection of slides. It should feel like a story. One that flows from problem to solution to why this team is the right one to solve it. Unfortunately, most decks read like a checklist instead. The ideas jump around, there’s no logic in the order and by the end, the person reading it cannot really repeat what they just learned.

The structure doesn’t have to be complicated, but the decisions behind it matter. Ask yourself: What do I want someone to believe by the end of this? What do I want them to feel? Then work backwards. Make each slide build on the last. Cut anything that takes away from the clarity of the message. You are pitching a line of thinking and your ability to see clearly and plan strategically.
