No one is going to wire money just because of a deck. The people reviewing it are simply deciding whether you are worth more of their time. That’s what a pitch deck is really for. It’s not meant to explain every single thing about your business, but to get you to the next conversation. Think of it like a movie trailer. It gives a sense of what you’re building, shows just enough to get someone interested and leaves them wanting to know more. If you try to say everything upfront, you risk losing their attention before they even get to the good part.

So when you are putting yours together, don’t try to answer every question. Focus on making your thinking clear and your business easy to understand. Say just enough to spark curiosity and give people a reason to keep talking. If they’re interested, the deeper conversation will follow. But only if you’ve earned it.
