Building your brand name with social media

Section 4 : Post content often

80%

In many ways, social media is a numbers game. The chances that a particular piece of content you publish will become popular and get shared is low, at least initially. So you increase your chances by posting a lot of content.

Posting three to four times a week is the right place to start. Less than that, and you won’t have the content density to support a growing audience. More, and you risk wearing out your welcome.

Curating and posting relevant content from other people is an excellent way to lighten your content creation load, but it is important to create unique content. Your own material helps establish your brand as an authority in your industry and provides your followers with shareable content that they won’t find anywhere else.

It’s okay to cross-post content between your various social media accounts. However, some types of material are better suited to specific platforms. As a result, it’s wise to formulate a strategy that balances general content for all platforms with content created for specific channels.

It’s also crucial to experiment with different types of media. Not every person responds to the same things. Leverage memes, infographics, written content, videos, how-tos, and more.
