Talifhani Mamafha aka Talifhani Banks is an entrepreneur powerhouse from South Africa. He started using his analytical skills in 2015 to help people in the entertainment industry get endorsements. Soon after, he quit his job as a Business Analyst, which led to running Analytics Advertising on a full-time basis.
Analytics Advertising is a data technology company and a digital transformation partner for large and emerging enterprises to provide innovative and tailor-made solutions to help clients make informed data-driven decisions. Their key services are data science, management consulting, software development, and market research, helping businesses understand their customer patterns, targeted potential customers, and how companies and organizations can tell a story that penetrates specific customers in the market using analytics.
Talifhani’s business faced lots of entrepreneurial challenges in the early years such as bankruptcy, doubt, losing clients, and debts. However, consistency and determination made him not give up, resulting in the company's tremendous growth today. Analytics Advertising now operates in 5 countries in Africa, Europe, and the UAE.
Talifhani has received awards in the medium enterprises sector during his entrepreneurial journey. Recently, he was awarded Top Entrepreneur of the Year under the 2022 Top Empowerment Awards (South Africa). As the CEO of Analytics Advertising, he is excited to see the team grow and the company's expansion in Africa and the world.

Confabs are free events open to the entire ELISA portal community, which includes high potential entrepreneurs and founders with bold ideas for solving the greatest challenges we face in Africa. Attendees also include industry executives, investors, venture capitalists, philanthropists, researchers, educators, government regulators, policy makers, founders and entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.
During the confab, an inspirational speaker or thought leader provides remarks for 10-minutes focusing on their professional journey, particularly as it relates to entrepreneurism in Africa. This is followed by randomly assigned small group virtual breakout sessions where attendees connect with others, discuss bootstrap briefs and gain recognition for their business, project or idea.
